Updates from the Other Washington Strickland, Randall Re-Launch Puget Sound Recovery Caucus This month, during the annual Puget Sound Day on the Hill, U.S. Representatives Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) and Emily Randall (WA-06) announced the re-launch of the Puget Sound Recovery Caucus for the 119th Congress. Read more Strickland Leads Bipartisan Bill to Expand Midwifery Care for Servicemembers and their Families Earlier this month, on International Day of the Midwife, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10), reintroduced the M aternal and Infant Delivery: Wellness, and Integration with Vital Expertise Support (MIDWIVES) for Servicemembers Act. The bill would increase access to maternity care for servicemembers and their families by extending midwifery care to those enrolled in TRICARE through a 5-year pilot program. Read more Other Legislative Action Following Military Spouse Appreciation Day, reintroduced the Ensuring Security for Military Spouses Act, a bipartisan effort to eliminate the 90-day state residency requirement for spouses of servicemembers on active duty who apply for naturalization. After voting against the Republican Budget Bill, Strickland released an official statement.
