Leader Jeffries Statement on Attack on YORK County, PA Police Officers

Today, Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries released the following statement: I am horrified by the shooting of five police officers in York County, Pennsylvania. My prayers and deepest condolences are with the families of Det. Sgt. Cody Becker, Det. Mark Baker and Det. Isaiah Emenheiser, who answered the call and made the ultimate sacrifice. I continue to pray for the swift recovery of the two wounded heroes. Every day, heroic men and women of law enforcement put their lives on the line to keep us safe. We must do everything we can to ensure that members of law enforcement can perform their duties and return home safely. The time is long overdue to take decisive action to end the gun violence epidemic in America once and for all. ###
