Liccardo Joins San José Community Leaders to Urge Voters to Cast Their Ballots
SAN JOSÉ, CA – Today, Congressman Sam Liccardo (CA-16), joined the Amigos de Guadalupe Center for Justice and Empowerment and local community leaders at Mexican Heritage Plaza in East San José to encourage eligible voters to cast their ballots ahead of tomorrow’s election. The press conference came amid heightened concerns about immigration enforcement activity in Santa Clara County and federal efforts to obtain confidential voter information.
“We have thousands of volunteers throughout the country and thousands of lawyers ready to run to court as soon as there is a violation. So far, the courts have consistently been with us, whether on mail-in voting or attempts to access voter rolls. We will continue to fight these battles on the streets and in the courts. So I ask everyone: Please participate. Please vote. We are working together to ensure your vote counts," said Liccardo.
Liccardo also reminded voters that it is not too late to participate in tomorrow’s election. Voters can return their ballots to an official drop box or vote center before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3. Eligible voters who have not yet registered can also register and vote at a county vote center through Election Day.
Santa Clara County voters can find their nearest vote center or official ballot drop box at vote.santaclaracounty.gov .
