Fedorchak votes for legislation to cut red tape and lower costs for small businesses

December 3, 2025 Press Release Washington, D.C. — Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak (R-ND) today voted for legislation to rein in Washington’s regulatory overreach and lower costs for North Dakota small businesses. “Small businesses in North Dakota are paying the price for Washington’s overreach,” Fedorchak said. “These bills push back on costly federal rules and make regulators prove they’re not driving up prices. It’s a needed step toward lowering costs and letting our small businesses grow.” H.R. 2965, the Small Business Regulatory Reduction Act , requires the Small Business Administration (SBA) to certify that any new regulatory changes issued by the agency will not raise compliance costs for small businesses. H.R. 4305, the DUMP Red Tape Act , creates a dedicated hotline for small business owners to report overly burdensome or unnecessary federal regulations to the SBA Office of Advocacy. Both bills are part of the Republicans’ broader affordability agenda and now head to the Senate for consideration. ###
