Senator Alsobrooks Votes “No” on Project 2025’s Russell Vought for OMB Director

WASHINGTON, DC– Today, Angela Alsobrooks (D-MD) voted against the President’s nominee for Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
She issued the following statement:“Project 2025 architect Russell Vought has no place being Director of the Office of Management and Budget. Vought has made it clear he will slash federal funding and continue the witch hunt targeting our federal workers.
“‘We want to put them in trauma’ is what Russell Vought has said about our civil servants. It’s a disgraceful statement that demonstrates his utter contempt for the doctors who are researching cancer at NIH, for the inspectors keeping our food safe at FDA, and for the officers issuing benefits at the VA.
“Anyone who wants to cause ‘trauma’ to the American worker has absolutely no place in the federal government, let alone directing OMB.”
