Letlow Secures $2.6 Million for Livingston Parish Public Safety
May 1, 2026 Press Release WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Julia Letlow has secured $2.6 million in Community Project Funding to boost public safety in Livingston Parish. The funding will be used to construct an emergency operations center where local agencies and first responders can coordinate during emergencies or local disasters. Funding for the project was approved as part of the Fiscal Year 2026 funding bill for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and will be distributed through the Livingston Parish Government and Sheriff’s Office. “Livingston Parish is a fast-growing part of our state, and with growth comes increased public safety needs. I’m proud to have worked with Sheriff Jason Ard to secure funding for a new facility that will be vital to coordinating emergency response efforts,” said Congresswoman Julia Letlow. “I will continue to use my seat on the House Appropriations Committee to support public safety and deliver for communities in Livingston Parish and the broader Capital Region.” ###
