Larson (CT-01) , Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) , Joe Courtney (CT-02), Jim Himes (CT-04), and Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, applauded a $36 million increase to a contract for Pratt & Whitney F135 engines announced by the U.S. Navy. This contract modification from the federal government will support the construction of 138 new Lot 20 F135 engines over the next five years, with work in East Hartford, Middletown, Cromwell, Manchester, Cheshire and other locations across the country. “We proudly stood together in the fight to protect the Pratt & Whitney built F135 engine, and we will continue to ensure Connecticut workers keep the world’s top fighter jet flying for years to come.
