🌽 E-15 is not Optional

In Iowa, 1 in every 3 rows of corn becomes biofuel — clean, renewable energy that strengthens our economy, lowers gas prices, and boosts America’s energy independence. The problem : E-15 — gasoline blended with up to 15% ethanol — is still blocked from year-round sales nationwide. Outdated federal red tape limits availability during the summer months, and instead of fixing the issue permanently, Washington keeps kicking the can down the road with short-term waivers. I spoke on the House floor to call out this dysfunction and explain why the lack of certainty hurts Iowa’s producers — and raises costs every time families fill up at the pump. ⬇️ What’s new : This week, we drew a clear line in the sand — setting a March 1st deadline for Congressional leaders to pass year-round E-15 into law. I’m also joining the new House Council on Energy to ensure Iowa has a seat at the table as we advance energy solutions that work for working families—not Washington bureaucrats. Bottom Line: Iowa farmers and fuel producers deserve certainty — not stall tactics. I’m holding Washington accountable and won’t stop fighting until clean, homegrown fuels are available year-round, nationwide.
