Larson (CT-01) released the following statement after House Republicans pushed through their budget plan to cut taxes for the wealthy while slashing health care and food assistance for kids, seniors, and veterans. “After pledging no cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, or Social Security, Donald Trump is going back on his word so he can deliver a $2 trillion tax cut for the wealthy,” said Larson. “Despite the pleas of their constituents, House Republicans are moving in lockstep with Trump and Musk to pave the way for these tax cuts by slashing health care and food assistance for millions of Americans.
