Thompson Announces Appointment of Luke Brabazon to the United States Naval Academy
May 4, 2026 Press Release Image BELLEFONTE, Pa. – U.S. Representative Glenn “GT” Thompson (PA-15) today announced that Mr. Luke Brabazon of State College has accepted a fully-qualified appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md. Brabazon is a freshman at Penn State. He graduated from DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Md. He is the son of U.S. Navy Capt. John Brabazon and Lisa Brabazon of State College. He is the grandson of Diane Pastrana of Annapolis, Md. He has two siblings, Mac and Claire Brabazon. "Luke is an outstanding young man who has spent years volunteering as an Eagle Scout and serving within his local ministry," Rep. Thompson said. "Coming from a family of distinguished servicemen, I know Luke will represent the Academy with distinction." Brabazon graduated high school with highest honors and was the National Honor Society President. He was a member of the DeMatha Catholic High School varsity swim team and baseball team.
