Rep. Knott Statement on Wake Co. Murder Suspect Extradited from Mexico

February 28, 2025 Press Release WAKE COUNTY, NC - Today, Congressman Brad Knott (NC-13) released the following statement regarding the extradition of a murder suspect from Mexico to be tried for the killing of Wake County Deputy Ned Byrd. “Many North Carolinians, especially in the law enforcement community, dealt with the grief of losing Wake County Sheriff’s Deputy Ned Byrd before being robbed of justice as one of the primary suspects escaped to Mexico. This same fact pattern happens far too often,” Rep.
