Senate Republicans Block Legislation to Pay TSA for 9th Time

Washington, D.C. —Senate Republicans have now blocked pay for TSA workers9 timesand blocked bills to fund TSA, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and the Coast Guard12 timesin total.
“TSA officers shouldn’t miss paychecks, and Americans’ safety shouldn’t be collateral damage in a political standoff that Republicans created,”said Senator Luján.“TSA agents are working around the clock to make our country safer, yet aren’t being paid because Republicans have blocked their pay nine times. Instead of punishing travelers and hardworking public servants, this administration should get serious about negotiating a DHS funding bill that pays TSA officers and reins in ICE and Border Patrol.”
