Luttrell reintroduces the Veterans Claims Quality Improvement Act

This legislation ensures that veterans and their families receive the support they have earned and holds the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) accountable by ensuring veterans receive fair and accurate decisions on their benefit claims, “ said Congressman Luttrell . “It is crucial our veterans get the help they deserve, and I will continue to fight for those who served our nation in Congress. Background This bill would: Require the VA to create systems that help claims processors learn from their avoidable deferrals. Require the Veterans Board of Appeals to learn from these mistakes through their training programs. Authorize annual performance evaluations for Board judges.
