Rep. Crank Votes for Harsher Penalties for Criminals Entering and Reentering the U.S. Illegally
September 11, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Representative Jeff Crank (CO-05) voted in favor of H.R. 3486, the Stop Illegal Entry Act of 2025, which ensures that criminal aliens face harsher consequences for illegally entering the country. The Stop Illegal Entry Act of 2025 strengthens current law to better deter criminal aliens from entering and reentering the United States. The Act also gives federal officials more tools to prosecute aliens who illegally entered the U.S. under the Biden-Harris Administration. "A country without border security cannot have national security," said Rep. Crank. "Through the Stop Illegal Entry Act, Congress is strengthening President Trump’s hand to protect our communities and reverse the open-border policies of the previous Administration." ###
