WASHINGTON— Today, Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson issued the following statement regarding his vote of support for Speaker Johnson to continue serving as the United States House of Representatives Speaker. “Speaker Mike Johnson is the kind of leader we need to advance President Trump's agenda through the United States House of Representatives and deliver for the American people,” said Rep. Simpson. “Under challenging circumstances, Speaker Johnson has consistently fought for conservative values and has put our country's best interests first. His proven leadership is why I proudly supported his re-election as Speaker of the House.” Speaker Johnson was re-elected with 218 votes.
