More Michigan PACE Leaders Announce Support for Moolenaar's Bipartisan Legislation
October 14, 2026 Press Release Today, Congressman John Moolenaar announced additional Michigan support for his bipartisan legislation with Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (D-MI), the PACE Expanded Act. The legislation seeks to increase access to the Program of All-Inclusive Care (PACE) and facilitate the establishment of new ones by giving PACE programs greater flexibility to enroll beneficiaries throughout the year. "The PACE system is a proven model that allows Michigan seniors to receive access to long-term, reliable care. I am grateful for the outstanding work done by PACE service providers to offer comprehensive services to communities across our district, and for their support of the PACE Expanded Act. I will continue my work to cut unnecessary red tape, expand access to the PACE program, advocate for Michigan's seniors, and ensure they get the care they need," said Moolenaar. All 15 of Michigan's PACE organizations support the legislation. The PACE Association of Michigan, and PACE Central Michigan applauded Moolenaar and Dingell's leadership: “Michigan’s older adults deserve access to high-quality, community-based care that helps them remain independent while controlling costs,” said Stephanie Winslow, Executive Director of the PACE Association of Michigan. “Removing unnecessary barriers to PACE enrollment will help ensure older Michiganders across our state can access this proven model of care. We thank Congressman John Moolenaar and Congresswoman Debbie Dingell for their leadership in expanding access to PACE.” “In rural Michigan, access to care can be limited not only by the services available, but by the ability to get there,” said Lisa Minns, Executive Director of PACE Central Michigan. “PACE addresses both barriers by bringing comprehensive care into the community and providing transportation for participants who need it. Removing unnecessary barriers to enrollment will help ensure that every older Michigander, regardless of where they live, has access to the care they need to remain independent.” Issues : Health Care
