Sen. Moran Response to State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON
– U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) released the following statement in response to President Trump’s State of the Union address:
“The State of the Union offers a unique opportunity for the American people and Congress to hear directly from the President about his or her vision for the future of our country. Tonight, President Trump spoke to the challenges facing our nation, while highlighting the progress that has been made to bolster our border security, lower taxes for American families and strengthen our standing on the global stage.
“Early in his second term, President Trump took quick action to address the crisis at our southern border and stop the flow of deadly drugs, human traffickers and thousands of migrants from illegally entering the U.S. President Trump has continued to prioritize our national security and send a clear message to our adversaries that threats to the U.S. and our allies will not go unanswered. As we enter the 250th year of our nation’s history, I am committed to working with President Trump and my colleagues to continue to deliver positive results for Kansans and for the American people.”
