STATEMENT: Bell Celebrates IAM District 837, Boeing Contract Agreement
November 13, 2025 Press Release Washington, D.C.— Today, U.S. Representative Wesley Bell (D-Mo.) released the following statement after Members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, District 837 voted to accept Boeing’s latest offer: "After 15 long weeks, I am glad to see IAM District 837 and Boeing reach a fair agreement that gets our highly skilled workers back on the job. I stood with these workers because the St. Louis region plays a pivotal role in our national security—thanks in large part to the men and women at Boeing who build some of the most sophisticated, technologically advanced aircraft that keep our nation safe and our military strong. These workers deserve wages and benefits that reflect the true value of their work, and this agreement is a major victory for them, their families, and the entire St. Louis region. Boeing has long been a cornerstone of our region’s economic success, and that success has always depended on the talent and dedication of its workforce. Now, the work continues to further advance our shared commitment to growth, stability, and a stronger future for our region and our country." Congressman Wesley Bell previously urged Boeing to work with the IAM union to reach a resolution by co-leading a letter to Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg alongside a bipartisan group of Representatives. ###
