Husted visits Circleville women’s center, Cincinnati manufacturer

Jon Husted (R-Ohio) today visited Elizabeth’s Hope Pregnancy Resource Center in Circleville and SENCO in Cincinnati to meet with leadership and learn more about the work both organizations are doing to support Ohio families and strengthen the state’s workforce. “Every time I travel throughout Ohio, I’m reminded that we have some of the best workers and organizations in the country. Elizabeth’s Hope Pregnancy Resource Center is providing new and expecting mothers with critical support and resources, while SENCO is creating good jobs and manufacturing essential products right here in Cincinnati. I enjoyed spending time with both organizations today and seeing the positive impact they’re having in their communities,” said Husted. Elizabeth’s Hope Pregnancy Resource Center provides free, confidential medical and educational support for women and families navigating unplanned pregnancies across southern Ohio. As someone who started his life in a foster home, Husted has long advocated for children in foster care, expectant mothers and families pursuing adoption. In May, the Senate passed Husted’s resolution recognizing May as National Foster Care Month. He is also leading two bills to safeguard adoptions and support families. Husted’s bill, the ADOPT Act, would combat exploitation by unlicensed adoption intermediaries and protect both adoptees and expectant mothers. Husted is also leading the Hospital Adoption Education Act, which would require the Secretary of Health and Human Services to develop training for certain health care professionals to provide accurate, ethical and unbiased information to expectant mothers when considering adoption. At SENCO, Husted met with company leadership and workers for an overview of the global manufacturer headquartered in Cincinnati. SENCO is a global leader of pneumatic and electric fastening systems and fasteners, and their products are distributed and sold in more than 40 countries worldwide. Today, about 80% of the company’s 400 U.S. workers are based in Cincinnati. This visit builds on Husted’s work to support small businesses. In the Senate, Husted is supporting the: Made in America Manufacturing Financing Act : This bill would expand access to growth capital for small U.S.-based manufacturers. Investing in All of America Act: This bill would expand access to capital for small businesses in rural and low-income communities, as well as those in the manufacturing and critical technology sectors. AI for Mainstreet Act: This bill would provide training, guidance and support to American small businesses looking to implement AI into their businesses. Repealing Big Brother Overreach Act: This bill would eliminate the requirement for small businesses to report beneficial ownership information to the Treasury Department, which is burdensome and overreaching. Husted also supported the Working Families Tax Cuts Act in July 2025, which includes pro-growth policies that support investment in manufacturing states like Ohio, including: Full and immediate expensing for investments in machinery, equipment, technology and software through bonus depreciation. Doubles small business expensing limits for new investments in machinery, equipment, technology and software. Permanent and immediate expensing for research and development costs. Full expensing for investments in new factories. Permanently expands the interest write-off available to businesses and manufacturers. Cuts taxes on tips and overtime, saving tipped and overtime workers up to $1,750 per year.
