Congressman Patronis Issues a Statement on Three Plane Crashes in Florida
December 11, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Patronis issues a statement regarding three separate plane crashes that happened this week in Florida. These crashes are currently under investigation. Two separate single-engine aircraft made emergency landings on local roads in the Orlando area due to engine failures. Another crash involving a small plane in Pensacola is also under investigation. All three incidents resulted in no fatalities. Despite these incidents, general aviation accident rates fell by 11% over the past year and are now at their lowest level in decades. Aviation remains the safest mode of transportation. “As a member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I am working with the Department of Transportation and the National Transportation Safety Board to understand these crashes,” said Congressman Patronis . “I am glad that no one was killed; this could have been a total disaster.
