Buchanan Applauds Final House Passage of “One Big, Beautiful Bill”

House Republicans Deliver Historic Pro-Growth, Pro-Family, America First Legislation WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Vern Buchanan , Vice Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee , issued the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed President Donald Trump’s “One Big, Beautiful Bill:” “Today is a great day for American families, workers, seniors, children, servicemembers and small businesses. “I’m proud to have helped lead efforts on the House Ways and Means Committee to deliver the largest tax cut in U.S. history, make the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent, enhance the child tax credit, provide relief to seniors living on fixed incomes and strengthen Medicaid for those who need care most. Our bill also includes my longtime priorities of easing the burden of building and owning a home, ending taxes on tips and making the small business deduction permanent for over 30 million job creators. The One Big, Beautiful Bill Act is the definition of promises made and promises kept. “Democrats didn’t just vote against the ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill’—they voted for higher taxes on the American people, taxpayer-funded aid to illegals and open borders. House Republicans are choosing economic prosperity, security and relief for hardworking Americans.” Buchanan serves as Vice Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. Recently, he led a letter with 11 Florida Republicans urging swift passage of the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act to deliver tax relief to Floridians and strengthen Florida’s economy. ### Related Posts ICYMI: Buchanan, Holmes Beach PD Chief Tokajer Call for “No Tax on Overtime” for Law Enforcement in Sarasota Herald-Tribune Op-Ed Buchanan Leads Florida Republican Letter in Support of One Big, Beautiful Bill Buchanan Celebrates House Passage of “One Big, Beautiful Bill”
