Senator Andy Kim Statement Against Trump-Republican Budget Bill that Raises Working Families’ Costs

WASHINGTON D.C.–Senator Andy Kimreleased the following statement after Republicans passed their obscenely harmful budget bill through the House of Representatives:
“Republicans in Congress continue to show the American people who they are truly fighting for. To be able to hand tax breaks to the wealthiest few – their budget makes everyday life more expensive for working families by raising healthcare premiums and co-pays, eliminating Pell grants, cutting food assistance, and slashing Medicaid. One in three children in New Jersey rely on Medicaid. The Senate needs to do right by them and reject this budget.”
