(“Palantir”) shares. Palantir has profited from expansive federal contracts supporting the Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) in carrying out immigration enforcement tactics that endanger New Jerseyans and violate core New Jersey values. Menendez is bringing these constituent concerns directly to the State Investment Council and calling on the Council to evaluate all options for divestment from Palantir. “Our state’s public investments, including the retirement savings of public workers, cannot come at the expense of New Jersey’s immigrant families,” Menendez wrote. “I urge the state to give full and fair consideration to the constitutional and safety implications of any continued investment in Palantir.” “Immigration enforcement officers have shot at least 13 people since September 2025, four of whom have died,” Menendez continued. “In 2025, Palantir entered into a $30,000,000 contract with ICE to build an artificial intelligence enabled platform called Immigration Lifecycle Operating System (“ImmigrationOS”) to provide “near real-time visibility” into the “immigration lifecycle.” Palantir has also reportedly created additional tools for ICE, such as the Enhanced Leads Identification & Targeting for Enforcement (“ELITE”) platform, which leverages data obtained from the Department of Health and Human Services to map individuals’ locations and assemble detailed profiles of individuals being targeted.” “This investment ties the retirement security of our state’s public workers to immigration enforcement practices that terrorize families and violate constitutional guarantees. I urge you to give full and fair consideration to concerns raised by my constituents and advocates across the state and to ensure that Common Pension Fund D’s investment portfolio aligns with New Jersey’s values and long-standing commitment to civil liberties and immigrant rights,” Menendez concluded. New Jersey’s Common Pension Fund D has $130,000,000 worth of shares in Palantir as of the fourth quarter of 2025. New Jersey is home to more than two million immigrants who are essential to the state’s economy, workforce, and small businesses. Since President Trump took office, Palantir has collaborated with the Administration in creating and providing surveillance technology used on immigrant communities and New Jerseyans. Since coming to Congress, Rep. Rob Menendez has been a leader on fighting for immigrant rights. Menendez is an? original cosponsor ?of articles of impeachment for DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, has? called ?for the end of ICE, and led efforts to demand that ICE agents? identify themselves ?when conducting enforcement operations. Earlier this year, Menendez was?on the ground ?in Minnesota for a field hearing, listening to the testimony of victims of ICE and DHS’s abuses and state and local elected officials. Last year, Reps. Menendez, Watson Coleman, and McIver were? conducting legal oversight? at the Delaney Hall detention facility when they were confronted by over 20-armed ICE and HSI agents in an incident that gained national attention.
