U.S. Senators Katie Britt, Bill Cassidy, Colleagues Recognize National School Choice Week

WASHINGTON, D.C.— U.S. Senators Katie Britt (R-Ala.), Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-La.), and several of their Republican colleagues introduced aresolutionrecognizing January 25-31 as National School Choice Week.
“Every student is unique, and every family should be empowered to make the best possible choice for their child’s education,”said Senator Britt.“I am proud to celebrate National School Choice Week and champion the educational freedom that helps our nation’s children achieve the American Dream.”
“Children should have every opportunity to succeed in school, regardless of income or zip code,”said Dr. Cassidy.“This National School Choice Week, we celebrate giving parents the power to choose the best education option for their child.”

Senator Britt is a strong proponent of school choice. In the 119thCongress, she helped introduce theEducational Choice for Children Act, bicameral legislation that would prioritize school choice programs by directing federal funds to support educational freedom for families. Additionally, Senator Britt continues to call for expandingK-12 educational freedomfor children across the nation.
