Connecting with more than 125,000 Ohioans
Dear friends and neighbors, Representing Ohioans starts with listening to their thoughts and concerns. That’s why I recently hosted another telephone town hall to directly hear their priorities firsthand. The conversations help me serve as a better voice for Ohioans in the United States Senate. I’m grateful to everyone who took the time to join the call and share their perspectives. On my recent call, I connected with more than 125,000 Ohioans to hear their thoughts directly. During our latest town hall, we discussed numerous issues affecting Ohioans such as regulations for digital assets, data centers, photo ID requirements for federal elections, and protecting children from harmful online content. Here’s what participants had to say: The Digital Asset Market Clarity Act will help set clear rules for digital assets, provide consumer protection while supporting innovation, and offer greater regulatory certainty for the rising crypto industry. I’m a proud cosponsor of this bill and look forward to seeing it across the finish line. If America wants to lead the world in AI and strengthen national security, we need to infrastructure to support those efforts. My Ratepayer Protection Act would implement regulations to keep America globally competitive while protecting Ohioans and Americans from paying the electricity costs themselves. I’m glad to see Ohioans support my bill. I have voted for the SAVE America Act six times and will continue to until we get it done for the American people. This would not only provide election officials ease at the polls but ensure security and confidence in elections. The CHAT Act 2.0 would prohibit chatbots from engaging in harmful behavior with minors and offer more parental oversight. As AI advances, we have a responsibility to impose more safety guidelines and disclosures to make sure kids safety and mental health are a priority.
