U.S. Senator Katie Britt Directly Secures Over $2.66 Million for the Wiregrass, Continues Leadership on Senate Appropriations Committee
WASHINGTON,D.C.– U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.), as a member of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, recently directly secured over $2.66 million for the Wiregrass through the passage of two Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 appropriations bills:theFY26 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies (CJS) Appropriations Act,and theFY26 Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies (EWD) Appropriations Act.
“There are several critical priorities for the Wiregrass that I was proud to champion and secure in the recent package of funding bills passed by Congress,”said Senator Britt.“When I joined the Appropriations Committee, I vowed to return your hard-earned taxpayer dollars home to Alabama, and this funding, that supports our hardworking law enforcement and improves community facilities, is a reflection of that promise.”
