Small businesses make up 99 percent of all businesses in Nevada, with 280,000 of them all over the state. As a result, Nevada has been one of the states most impacted by Donald Trump’s economic policies. “Trump’s policies in the last year have directly impacted small businesses in our state. Reckless tariffs, harmful immigration policies, and rising prices have made it harder for small business owners and their families to make ends meet and keep their businesses afloat,” said Senator Rosen . “I will do everything that I can in the Senate to fight back against the administration’s dangerous policies, and ensure that all small businesses in our state are given the opportunity to thrive.” “Entrepreneurs have been hit hard this last year. Rapidly increasing prices and tariffs are making it harder everyday for Nevada’s small businesses,” said Ann Silver, President and CEO of the Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce. “I am grateful to Senator Rosen for coming to Reno today to hear directly from small business owners and discuss how she can continue supporting them.” Senator Rosen has been fighting to protect small businesses in Nevada from Donald Trump’s harmful policies. This year, she has introduced legislation to exempt small businesses and groceries from tariffs, as well as supporting Nevada’s tourism economy.
