May 29, 2026 Press Release St. Louis, MO — Yesterday, Representative Wesley Bell (D-Mo.) announced $30 million in federal funding for St. Louis Lambert International Airport. The funds will go toward the construction of a new terminal, improving airport efficiency and flight capability. “When companies decide where to expand and create job hubs, the airport is one of the first things they look at,” said Rep. Bell . “This federal investment helps make the St. Louis region more competitive– by improving and expanding the airport, we encourage more business, more flights, and more regional growth. These funds will increase energy efficiency and modernize the flow of the airport, improving the travel experience for everyone flying in and out of St. Louis.” Rep. Bell also secured $3,150,000 for Lambert as part of his Fiscal Year 2026 Community Project Funding (CPF) initiative. The federal funds went toward constructing a new central utility plant and west electrical substation, critical infrastructure supporting the airport’s Consolidated Terminal Program and long-term economic growth in the region.
