Image July 16, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) issued the following statement after attending the signing ceremony for the HALT Fentanyl Act at the White House: “I applaud President Trump for signing into law the HALT Fentanyl Act and taking decisive action to keep fentanyl and other poisonous substances out of our country. In conjunction with our work to secure the border, this legislation will help law enforcement confiscate dangerous drugs, combat the drug cartels, and save lives. Too many families have lost loved ones to an overdose, and this law will strengthen our mission to keep drugs out of our communities and away from our kids.” The HALT Fentanyl Act permanently lists all fentanyl-related substances under Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act. ### Issues : Border Security Health
