McConnell Comments on President Trump’s Nomination of Kentuckian S. Chad Meredith

U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) issued the following statement today on President Trump’s announcement that he will nominate S. Chad Meredith of Lexington, Kentucky to serve on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky:
“President Trump made an outstanding choice for his nomination to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. Chad Meredith is a bright lawyer with a stellar resume and a distinguished record of public service, including previous service as Kentucky’s Solicitor General. His demonstrated devotion to the rule of law and the Constitution will serve the people of Kentucky well on the federal bench. I look forward to the Senate confirming his nomination.”
BACKGROUND:
Meredith would fill the seat of Judge Danny Reeves who took senior status on February 1, 2025.
