Landsman Leads Bipartisan Effort to Protect Healthcare for 22 Million Americans

<p><strong><em>Cincinnati, OH –</em></strong><em>&nbsp;Today, Congressman Greg Landsman (D-OH-01) announced he joined a bipartisan group of 35 House members leading an effort to protect healthcare for 22 million Americans.</em></p>

<p>Over the last few weeks, Landsman and 34 other members of the House built a bipartisan healthcare framework called <a href="https://d12t4t5x3vyizu.cloudfront.net/gottheimer.house.gov/uploads/2025/12/CommonGround_2025.pdf"><em>CommonGround 2025</em></a><em>.</em></p>

<p>The plan includes a two-year extension of health insurance premium savings for American families, including a year of the enhanced Premium Tax Credits (ePTCs), with targeted modifications, to be voted on in the House by December 18, 2025.</p>

<p>Landsman and members backing the framework also sent a <a href="https://d12t4t5x3vyizu.cloudfront.net/gottheimer.house.gov/uploads/2025/12/CommonGround-Health-Care-Framework-Letter.pdf">letter</a> urging House and Senate leadership to meet with them to discuss the framework and a path forward.</p>

<p>The largest majority in the House and Senate is a bipartisan majority.</p>

<p>There are a lot of politics around this healthcare fight, but what really matters is the 22 million Americans who will see their healthcare costs skyrocket – and the millions who could lose coverage altogether. That includes 32,000 people our district.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I promised them I would help lead a bipartisan effort to save their tax credits; to save their healthcare.&nbsp;This plan does that.&nbsp;</p>
