Correa: Trump Administration Still Hiding 3 Million Epstein Files

Washington, DC – Congressman Lou Correa (CA-46) released the following statement after signing onto Congressman Thomas Massie’s discharge petition to force a vote on Epstein Files Transparency Act II , a follow up bill that would give survivors, state attorneys general, and members of Congress the ability to sue the DOJ through private right of action over its failure to disclose records required under the Epstein Files Transparency Act . “The Epstein Files Transparency Act required the full release of the Epstein files, and was signed into law almost a year ago. Yet the Trump Administration continues to withhold more than 3 million documents from the public, and what it has released is heavily redacted. That is not justice. “I again signed onto another one of Congressman Massie’s petitions because survivors and state attorneys general need the power to take the U.S. Attorney General to court and get answers. We cannot let sexual predators get away with sex crimes, in which many of their victims appear to be young children. We must not let power and money shield sexual predators from justice. The survivors deserve the truth. The public deserves the truth. And every name connected to this network deserves to face scrutiny and accountability.” Print Email Share Tweet
