Larson (CT-01) released the following statement after Ways and Means Republicans released the text of their bill to cut taxes for billionaires, paid for with cuts to Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act that would kick more than 13 million Americans off their health care plans. “House Republicans’ budget bill will make life harder for working families so billionaires and large corporations can get a tax cut,” said Larson. “Their plan slashes Medicaid, SNAP nutrition benefits, and Pell Grants to pay for trillions in tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy. If they get their way, millions could be kicked off their health care plan, and families struggling to make ends meet will be left paying the price. We know that billionaires like Donald Trump and Elon Musk won’t lose a minute of sleep over these devastating cuts.
