I’m thankful our Constitution prevailed and protected Sens. Slotkin’s and Kelly’s right to free speech. But the fact that Trump weaponized the DOJ to even attempt this grotesque indictment is beyond alarming. Today it was six Democratic members of Congress, tomorrow it could be anyone.
- CS
Donald Trump has declared war on free speech.
- CS
A grand jury made up of ordinary Americans REJECTED Trump’s abuse of power targeting Sens. Slotkin and Kelly. I’m so proud of their courage, their poise, their loyalty to our democracy and our constitution. Senate Dems will not let this witch hunt go unanswered.

As Americans face rising costs and soaring healthcare premiums, Americans are feeling the pain of a struggling job market. Once again, Trump over-promises and under-delivers.
- CS
In 2024, Trump promised to create “millions and millions of blue-collar jobs and jobs of every type.” Here’s the reality he delivered in 2025:

We’re 3 days away from a DHS shutdown and Republicans have not gotten serious about negotiating a solution that reins in ICE and stops the violence. Democrats will not support a CR to extend the status quo.

My friend Charlie Rangel represented Harlem in Congress for 46 years. War hero. Assistant U.S. Attorney for SDNY. Founding member of @cbc.house.gov. Tireless legislator. Mentor. And so much more. We remember Charlie as one of the most effective lawmakers in Congress.

Virginia's Law. Named after late Epstein survivor Virginia Giuffre who spoke out on behalf of so many, Virginia's Law will eliminate the statute of limitations that has denied survivors the ability to hold criminals like Epstein accountable. The time for justice is now.

The Trump administration is all talk, no action. Thousands of agents are still roaming the streets in Minneapolis, assaulting people, and barging into homes. It’s only a matter of time before someone else gets seriously hurt. Democrats will not pass a DHS funding bill without serious reforms.
- CS
Democrats are STILL waiting on Republicans to come to the table and negotiate commonsense reforms to rein in ICE and bring an end to the violence. We must end roving patrols. We must have a code of conduct. We must end secret police.
- CS
Virginia's Law eliminates the statute of limitations that has shielded criminals like Epstein and denied survivors the ability to hold them accountable. Justice for survivors and victims of abuse should not have an expiration date. Virginia's Law will change that.

Donald Trump turned the funds for Gateway off, and he’s the only one who can turn them back on. The hardworking men and women of @weareliuna.bsky.social and I have 3 words for the President: FUND GATEWAY NOW!

Our DHS reform demands are exceedingly reasonable. We're asking ICE to do nothing more than follow the standards that the vast majority of law enforcement agencies already follow. Republicans, the ball is in your court. The clock is ticking.

“America’s golden age” was a complete lie. The numbers tell the truth: Trump has been a disaster for American industry and is killing the blue-collar jobs he promised he’d bring back. Trump’s record: fewer jobs and higher prices. Change can’t some soon enough.

Democrats are united on common-sense reforms to rein in ICE’s abuses. Simply put: No. Secret. Police.

🚨I took to the Senate floor to pass a bill to force the Senate to sue the Trump administration for violating the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Republicans objected.

SENATE AND HOUSE DEMOCRATS ARE UNITED ON REINING IN THE ABUSES OF ICE Americans have watched in horror as ICE has terrorized communities across the country Federal agents can’t continue to cause chaos in our cities while more Americans are killed We must rein in ICE Here’s what we're demanding:

Happy birthday, Rosa Parks! Today and every day, we remember her courage, strength, and resiliency during the Civil Rights Movement, and we carry that legacy with us in the continued fight for justice.
- CS
Americans are outraged by what ICE has done to our communities. Congressional Democrats are united in our plan to rein them in.

Donald Trump said the nation should move on from the Epstein files. No. We will not move on until we get the whole truth, the full truth about the Epstein files—as you promised. We’re not even close to that yet.
- CS
We cannot trust the executive branch to create lasting solutions on ICE. We need real legislation passed through Congress.
- CS
ICE’s abuses go beyond the headlines. Residents are afraid to go to schools, to grocery stores, to even step outside. Agents are patrolling the streets like a military operation. A 20% reduction is not enough. All of ICE needs to leave Minneapolis now.
- CS
Federal agents tear-gassed demonstrators and children in Portland. An agent in Colorado stole a woman’s phone and threw her to the ground. The disgraced former head of Border Patrol urged mass arrests. This isn't what Americans signed up for. We must rein in ICE.
- CS
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE: End the roving patrols and racial profiling. Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police. Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.
- CS
I want to be very clear: Kristi Noem doesn't get participation points by saying agents will start doing what they should've done all along. This is the bare minimum and should apply to agents nationwide. And there is still so much more to do.

Democrats will fight and block Trump’s calls to nationalize elections. The very pillars of American society, democracy and the rule of law will prevail over cult of personality.
- CS
Trump called for Republicans to, “take over voting in 15 states in the country.” Trump calling on his own party to nationalize voting is just more dangerous, autocratic poison. Our democracy is at risk, and it’s all the President’s fault.
- CS
Americans from all walks of life agree that the status quo cannot continue. What's happening in Minneapolis and other cities around the country is not law and order, it's thuggery. We will keep working to rein in ICE’s abuses.

The SAVE Act is nothing more than Jim Crow 2.0. It would disenfranchise millions of Americans. Every single Senate Democrat will vote against any bill that contains it. Speaker Johnson should tell SAVE Act Republicans to stand down or else this shutdown will be on them.
- CS
The SAVE Act would impose Jim Crow style restrictions on voting. It will be dead on arrival in the Senate. My statement:

This Texas election shows that Trump is really exposed. On ICE, on costs, on healthcare, and on so much more, he’s sinking like a stone.

This is the type of man that Donald Trump allowed to rise to the top of America's immigration enforcement. Disgusting, but not surprising for this out-of-control and despicable administration. We must weed out all of the Dan Bovinos from positions of power—and there are A LOT more of them.

4. Has every document that mentions the word Trump been released?
- CS
3. Your numbers keep changing. You say you collected 6 million pages but you’re only releasing 3 million. What’s in the 3 million that are missing?
- CS
2. Has all the relevant information been released on each of the 10 alleged Epstein co-conspirators?
- CS
1. You say all the documents are released. Does that include ALL of the co-conspirator memos, the corporate protection memos, the original Palm Beach Police Department reports, etc.?
- CS
42 days, and counting, after violating the law by failing to release all the Epstein files, Trump’s DOJ has released millions more pages. I’m reviewing the files, and I’ve got some questions for AG Bondi:

Trump's number one priority has been to make the wealthy, wealthier—it has never been the millions of young Americans looking to buy their first home. He’s giving the middle finger to our youngest generation. @democrats.senate.gov are focused on making homeownership possible for everyone.

The Senate is scheduled to take the first procedural vote on a funding package including DHS funding tomorrow. Let me be clear: Until ICE is properly reined in and overhauled, the DHS funding bill won’t have the votes to pass the Senate.
- CS
The attack on Rep. Omar tonight was a despicable act of political violence and intimidation. I am glad Rep. Omar is OK, and I thank USCP and local police for their quick action to apprehend the suspect.
- CS
In the wake of ICE’s abuses and the administration's recklessness, Senate Democrats will NOT pass the DHS budget until it is rewritten. I will vote no on any legislation that funds ICE until it is reined in and overhauled.

Alex Pretti did not deserve to die. Renee Nicole Good did not deserve to die. Enough is enough. ALL of ICE out of Minnesota now.

Kristi Noem is a liar. Kristi Noem is incompetent. Kristi Noem is vicious. Kristi Noem must be fired.
- CS
Please take a minute to read this heartbreaking statement from Nurse Pretti’s family. After their son was killed in broad daylight, they are now forced to defend him against this administration’s lies. It’s another reason why Senate Democrats are united in rejecting this DHS spending bill.

Senate Democrats will not provide the votes to proceed to the appropriations bill if the DHS funding bill is included.
- CS
Democrats sought common sense reforms in the Department of Homeland Security spending bill, but because of Republicans’ refusal to stand up to President Trump, the DHS bill is woefully inadequate to rein in the abuses of ICE. I will vote no.
