We’re back in the UP! First stop of this trip was in Baraga for a conversation with the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. Our land and water were top of mind, as were their efforts to build more housing.

Pete Hegseth is trying to silence anyone who exposes his failures as Secretary of Defense. The Pentagon fired three @starsandstripes.bsky.social journalists just a few days after the outlet published a story about mental health and food and water shortages aboard the USS Lincoln.

At Donegal Bay, I learned about the work of the Little Traverse Conservancy, including protecting the Michigan Monkey Flower, a federally endangered species found only in Michigan.

One resident called Beaver Island and the surrounding archipelago ‘the Galapagos of the Great Lakes’ because of all the unique and endangered species that reside here.

Six months ago, Jeanine Pirro saluted President Trump and tried to criminally indict me and five colleagues for a 90-second video that simply restated the law. That was on top of doing the same to a number of other public figures who the President perceived as enemies of the state.
