Lummis Celebrates Passage of Laken Riley Act

Washington, D.C.— U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) released the following statement celebrating the passage of the Laken Riley Act:
“After President Trump promised in his inaugural address to restore law and order at our Southern border, it is appropriate that theLaken Riley Actis the first bill heading to the president’s desk to be signed into law,”said Lummis.“This legislation sadly cannot bring Laken Riley back, but it will save other Americans and their families from enduring this heartbreaking and preventable tragedy.”
