Kevin Kiley (I-CA) issued this statement following the passage of H.R. 2913 , the Ukraine Support Act : “I provided the decisive signature to force a vote on the Ukraine Support Act because the time for Congress to act is now. Today, in a bipartisan way, we made it clear that the United States will continue to stand with the Ukrainian people and provide the material support necessary for their self-defense. We made it equally clear that Russia will pay a severe price for its unprovoked aggression and ongoing violence. This is the leverage needed for constructive negotiations to end this conflict. This is what is required for peace.” The measure passed by a vote of 226-195. The bill now heads to the United States Senate for consideration. Just before the vote, Rep. Kiley spoke in favor of the legislation on the House floor. ### Share on
