ICYMI: Rep. Gomez Hosts Tele Town Hall with Over 4,500 Constituents to Discuss Trump’s Lawless Attacks on Hardworking Immigrants and Working Families

LOS ANGELES, CA – Representative Jimmy Gomez (CA-34) hosted a Tele Town hall with 4,535 constituents to discuss how he’s fighting back against the Trump administration’s lawless attacks on immigrant families, the illegal deployment of federal troops in LA, and the Republicans’ Big Billionaire Bill that slashes Medicaid and threatens Social Security to fund more tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy. “Thank you to the 4,533 Angelenos who joined my Tele Town Hall tonight—it’s always good hearing from you,” said Rep. Gomez . “From lawless ICE raids to protecting Medicaid and Social Security, we discussed how we’re fighting back and standing up for our working families. We might not agree on everything, but one thing’s clear: we must stop Trump and the billionaire establishment taking root in DC.” Over the course of the Tele Town Hall, Rep. Gomez outlined his efforts to: Push back against Trump’s lawless ICE raids and the deployment of federal troops in LA by demanding answers from DHS about the treatment and separation of detained migrant families; Protect immigrant communities and uphold the rule of law by sharing critical Know Your Rights resources to help families stay safe; Fight the GOP’s Big Billionaire Bill , which cuts Medicaid and threatens Social Security and Medicare to reward the ultra-rich with even more tax breaks; Hold Trump and his cronies accountable through oversight and legislation to rein in his executive overreach and restore congressional authority over key issues like trade and federal funding. Constituents who didn’t get a chance to join the town hall can still reach out for assistance or updates. Please contact Rep. Gomez’s office at (213) 481-1425 or visit www.gomez.house.gov for help with a federal agency—including Social Security, veterans’ benefits, immigration services, or Medicare.
