Cassidy Announces $53.1 Million for Louisiana Medical Centers, Terrebonne Parish in Hurricane Ida Relief
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $53,080,760.19 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as a result of Hurricane Ida. “Taking safety precautions is the best way to prevent future devastation,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help our medical centers and Terrebonne Parish rebuild prepare for the next storm.” Grant Awarded Recipient Project Description $44,404,553.79 Terrebonne General Medical Center LHA This grant will provide federal funding for permanent repairs. $7,452,629.79 Louisiana Children’s Medical Center DBA LCMC Health (Children’s Hospital) This grant will provide federal funding for emergency protective measures. $1,223,576.61 Terrebonne Parish This grant will provide federal funding for temporary generators. ###
