Moreno Demands Federal Investigation Into Illegal Alien Caught Impersonating High School Student

WASHINGTON –Today, Senator Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio)sent a letterto DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and FBI Director Kash Patel calling for a full federal investigation into a 24-year-old Venezuelan immigrantcaught impersonating a high school studentin Perrysburg, Ohio. Among other issues, Senator Moreno called for a complete accounting of how the illegal alien arrived in the country, how the illegal alien was able to impersonate a student for over a year, and any allegations of sexual misconduct in that period.
“That a 24-year-old alleged illegal alien adult male was permitted to attend an Ohio high school for nearly a year and a half under allegedly false documentation, including potentially false immigration documentation, is shocking to say the least,”wrote Senator Moreno.“If the arrestee was granted TPS status, it is imperative for me to know when they were granted such status and the vetting that was conducted on the arrestee.
In January, Senator Morenowroteto former President Joe Biden’s DHS and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services directors blasting their11th-hour decisionto extend TPS designations for Venezuelan immigrants before President Trump took office.
