Congressman JOE Morelle Announces Congressional ART Competition Winner: Pittsford Sutherland Student
Image May 18, 2026 Press Release (Rochester, N.Y.)—Today, Congressman Joe Morelle announced Pittsford Sutherland High School student Manjing Luo as the winner of the 2026 Congressional Art Competition. “Every year, I’m inspired by the extraordinary creativity and talent of students across our community,” said Congressman Joe Morelle . “Manjing Luo’s artwork is remarkable, and I’m proud to see her talent representing Monroe County in the halls of the United States Capitol.” Manjing’s piece, entitled Walk Along the Erie, will fly to Washington, D.C. where the Congressional Institute will honor her work alongside participating Congressional districts from across the Country. Her artwork will be displayed in the United States Capitol for an entire year and featured on the official Congressional Art Competition Website . For the past 44 years, the annual Congressional Art Competition has showcased our country’s artistic talent and provided an opportunity for the art community here in Rochester to be represented on a national stage. This year, Congressman Morelle is serving as Co-Chair of the Congressional Art Competition alongside Congresswoman Stephanie Bice, helping lead the nationwide initiative that celebrates and uplifts young artistic talent from communities across the country. As Co-Chair, Congressman Morelle has worked to support student artists and expand opportunities for creative expression through one of Congress’s longest-running bipartisan programs.
