Ernst Bipartisan STEM Bill Passes Senate Unanimously

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst’s (R-Iowa) bipartisanNational STEM Week Actpassed the Senate unanimously.
Ernst’s bill promotes science, technology, engineering, and math skills to increase the United States’ competitiveness in innovation and technology. By connecting students with real-world industry career pathways, this effort will strengthen the pipeline between schools and employment.

Last year, Ernsthosteda roundtable with partners from the Center of Science and Industry (COSI), Kemin Industries, and Iowa 4-H to discuss the critical role STEM education plays in shaping our workforce.
“STEM skills are key to fostering a growing and innovative economy, and I’m excited that myNational STEM Week Acthas passed the Senate to increase opportunities and experiences for students across our nation,”said Ernst. “Through this effort, I am proud to equip our students for successful careers and fostering the workforce of tomorrow.
