PHOTOS: De La Cruz Visits Wilson County and Karnes County

This week, Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz (TX-15) visited Wilson County and Karnes County to meet with local officials and present exceptional Texans with their official Congressional Records. Wilson County: De La Cruz held a roundtable with local officials from Wilson County, La Vernia, Poth, Stockdale, and Floresville to discuss her recent work in Congress, including the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill. She also highlighted her efforts to secure a $750 million investment from the USDA for a new sterile fly production facility in the district, aimed at protecting Texas agriculture from the growing threat of the New World Screwworm. Following the roundtable, De La Cruz was joined by members of theWilson County community to honor Stacy Cameron and Kaitlyn Tieken of Sisters Boutique & Gifts, Inc.in Floresville. Earlier this year, their small business was named San Antonio SBA Family-Owned Business of the Year. De La Cruz presented the team with their official Congressional Record to mark this achievement, their 35 years in business, and their dedication to their community. Watch the full Floor speech recognition here . Karnes County: De La Cruz hosted a roundtable discussion with local officials from Karnes County, Karnes City, and Kenedy. De La Cruz shared an update on her work in Congress and discussed the over $1.2M in funding she secured for the county, including funding for the removal of the Otilla Dam on the San Antonio River and a radio communications upgrade for the Karnes County Sheriff's Office. Following the roundtable discussion, De La Cruz was joined by members of the community to honor Mr. Henry Kolinek Junior's 100th Birthday and present him with his official Congressional Record.
