Rep. Kiley Helps Deliver Historic Tax Relief for Californians

<p><strong>WASHINGTON</strong> &#8211; Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA) released the following statement on the House of Representatives passing H.R. 1 &#8211; One Big Beautiful Bill Act. </p>

<p>&#8220;Californians will soon get something&nbsp;long overdue: major tax relief. That is the most immediate consequence of passing today&#8217;s legislation, which will benefit all Americans but especially Californians, because of an increase in the SALT deduction. Had the bill failed, Californians would have faced the largest tax increase in U.S.&nbsp;history, costing the average family thousands of dollars. I was&nbsp;committed to making sure that didn&#8217;t happen.</p>

<p>&#8220;The bill also&nbsp;provides crucial support for education, national defense, and border security. And it protects our public lands and rural&nbsp;hospitals &#8211; both of which I advocated for throughout the legislative process,&#8221; said Rep. Kevin Kiley. </p>
