REP Boebert's Office Announces September Mobile Office Hours and Reminds Students of SEPT. 18 Service Academy Nomination Deadline

August 31, 2026 Press Release Lone Tree, CO — Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s office today announced upcoming staff-hosted Mobile Office Hours and reminded Fourth District students that applications for congressional nominations to the U.S. Service Academies for the Class of 2031 close September 18, 2026. “Our Congressional Staff Hosted Mobile Office Hours provide an opportunity for constituents in remote parts of the 4th District to get the assistance they need from our staffers who can help them in a variety of ways,” Boebert said. “Meeting Coloradans where they are is a critical part of the work our office does and I know our Mobile Office Hours will continue to be a huge help to rural constituents.” Staff will be available to help constituents who are not getting answers from federal agencies, including veterans seeking care from the VA, travelers needing expedited passport assistance, taxpayers dealing with the IRS, and seniors with Social Security or Medicare issues. Constituents may also share views on legislation or request special congressional recognition for outstanding public achievements. The office has hosted Mobile Office Hours in every county in the district and has returned $15,144,785.62 to constituents. I look forward to the selection process this year and can’t wait to meet our district’s applicants who are willing to serve our great country.” Members of Congress are able to nominate candidates for appointment to four of the five U.S. Service Academies: U.S. Military Academy (USMA), West Point, NY; the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), Annapolis, MD; the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado Springs, CO; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), Kings Point, NY. The fifth service academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (USCGA), New London, CT, does not require a congressional nomination for appointment. Applicants for USAFA, USNA, and USMA must reside in Colorado’s Fourth District. Interested applicants outside the district may apply for USMMA.
