Sen. Moran Questions Congressman Sean Duffy, Nominee for Secretary of DOT, on the Future of Boeing
WASHINGTON
– U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) today questioned President Trump’s nominee for Secretary of the Department of Transportation, Congressman Sean Duffy, during a Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation hearing.
“Boeing is important to us, certainly in commercial travel, but it is a hugely important component of our national security and defense capabilities,”
said Sen. Moran.
“I would also highlight that Spirit AeroSystems, Kansas' largest private employer, is a supplier to Boeing. Boeing’s success is important to the jobs and incomes that many Kansans rely on. Wichita, the Air Capital of the World, is a significant component of the supply chain for Boeing and others.”
