Magaziner Statement on Anniversary of Ethnic Cleansing of Armenian Population in Nagorno-Karabakh

September 19, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Seth Magaziner (RI-02) released the following statement recognizing the second anniversary of the 2023 ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh by Azerbaijan. “Today we recognize the anniversary of the ethnic cleansing and territorial assault on Nagorno-Karabakh by Azerbaijan that forced Armenians out of their homes. In Rhode Island, Armenian-Americans remind us daily of the resilience of the Armenian people. I stand with them in calling for accountability for Azerbaijan’s abuses against Armenians in Artsakh, and call for the release of all remaining Armenian prisoners.”
