Sen. Moran Applauds Confirmation of FAA Administrator Bedford

Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) – chairman of the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Aviation, Space, and Innovation – today released the following statement after voting to confirm Bryan Bedford as the next Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrator:
“Congratulations to Bryan Bedford on his confirmation as FAA Administrator. In this new role, he will be tasked with executing reforms and recently-passed funding to modernize America’s aging Air Traffic Control systems, implementing the FAA Reauthorization Law and, most importantly, ensuring the safety of the traveling public. During our conversations and Mr. Bedford’s testimony before the Commerce Committee, I appreciated his dedication to addressing the significant challenges faced by the FAA and our aviation industry. I look forward to working with Administrator Bedford to support the safety and efficiency of air travel and bolster the innovative aviation industry in our country.”
On June 25, Sen. Moran voted to advance Mr. Bedford’s nomination out of the Senate Commerce Committee.
