April 10, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative John McGuire (VA-05), today released the following statement about his vote for the adoption of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 - 2034 Budget Resolution: “Today, I voted to continue the budget proceedings and adopt the FY26 - FY34 Budget Resolution. I want to be clear; I did not vote in favor of the numbers the Senate sent over. Our national deficit is one of our country's largest concerns, and we must work together to formulate a budget that reins in our egregious spending. My vote today was to unlock the process, allowing committees the ability to create their budget goals. I have full faith that President Trump and Republican Leadership in both Chambers will deliver for the America First Agenda.
