Regardless of political beliefs, no one should be targeted for exercising their First Amendment rights in the Constitution. Just as I did earlier this year when Minnesota Speaker of the House Melissa Hortman and her husband were senselessly assassinated, I voted to condemn another act of political violence. The political conversation in our country should have never gotten to this point.
